Fall and spring are the most popular for mild weather and beautiful backdrops, but I photograph families year-round. Each season in Middle Tennessee offers its own charm. -
Where do family sessions take place?
Sessions can be outdoors at scenic spots around Nashville, Lebanon, Mount Juliet, or Franklin, or even in the comfort of your own home for a more lifestyle feel. I’ll help you choose a location that fits your family’s personality. -
How long does a family session last?
Most sessions last about 60–90 minutes, which gives us time for posed portraits, candid interactions, and breaks for little ones. -
What should we wear for our family photos?
I recommend coordinating outfits in neutral, soft tones with pops of color or texture. Avoid busy patterns or logos. Don't get matchy with everyone being in the same color. Instead, for example, give your photos some depth by mixing some khaki and grey tones. I’ll guide you on wardrobe styling to ensure everyone looks cohesive and comfortable. -
How do you keep kids engaged during the photoshoot?
Sessions are designed to be fun and relaxed! I use games, prompts, and movement to keep kids happy and natural — no stiff posing required. -
What if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
I always keep a backup date for outdoor sessions. If it rains or is too cold, we can reschedule. -
Do you help with posing?
Yes, I’ll gently guide your family into flattering positions while encouraging natural interactions so your photos feel authentic and not overly posed. -
How soon will we receive our photos?
You’ll receive your finished gallery within 2–3 weeks, ready to download, share, and print.
