So, sadly this blog is a few weeks behind schedule as I've been busy getting final images complete, dealing with a sick family(while being sick myself), taking a small family trip to enjoy Charleston and photographing the Prom session you just saw a sneak peek for! As I was saying, a few weeks back I had the pleasure of photographing Julie and her husband, Paul, as they celebrate the pregnancy of their first child! This was also the first maternity session where I got to play with my new fisheye lens, which I'm looking forward to incorporating into future sessions; it brings a fun flare to images I think. But I digress from the important topic of this post, the beautiful pregnant woman getting her photos taken! What to say about this shoot? It was a blast, they were a fun couple who, not only, had their own images they wanted but were quite flexible to trust this lady behind the camera and we captured some great moments together. He was such a good sport and had a lot of fun with his "job" as 'official dress train thrower,' and really helped me to capture the perfect images for her. We had a great time exploring some new locations, nothing like photographing someone next to a main road in traffic and having passers-by compliment her, which made her blush, it was too perfect! All around, this was another great time out, and I love being able to help my clients (such a formal term, since I try and build relationships and friendships from all those I photograph, but I guess a one time use is OK right?!) relax and find their comfort zone in front of the camera. I feel I truly captured the beauty of this couple, their love for each other and the love they will soon share with their son...whom I'm looking forward to photographing soon when he arrives!!!
